Science Week – Day 2

On day two of the GSS Science Week, the excitement is palpable as students dive into another day of exploration and discovery. Year 5 students take center stage, embarking on a fascinating journey to design structures capable of transporting tomatoes from the valley to the mountaintop. With pencils in hand and innovative ideas brewing, they brainstorm solutions to overcome the challenges of elevation and terrain.

Their designs are as diverse as they are ingenious, incorporating pulleys, ramps, and other mechanisms to ensure the safe passage of the precious cargo. As they collaborate and iterate, the classroom buzzes with creativity and determination. Featured photos from the day capture the intensity of their focus and the brilliance of their designs, showcasing the school’s dedication to real-world problem-solving and hands-on learning. With each sketch and prototype, these young engineers are not only building structures but also cultivating a deeper appreciation for the wonders of science and engineering.
