At Willow Brook Primary School we seek to provide an education where all children are valued, included and enabled to achieve their potential to function, learn and succeed by providing appropriate support to meet their needs.

We believe that all children including those with special educational needs and/or disability (SEND) should have their needs met, normally in mainstream school and be offered full access to a broad, balanced and relevant curriculum.

We aim to do this by closely following the DfES Code of Practice on the Identification and Assessment of Educational Needs. The school also gives regard to the guidance specified in the Special Educational Needs Disability Discrimination Act 2005 and the Lamb Inquiry 2009.

Willow Brook’s Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities Coordinator (SENDco) is Mari Chivers. You can contact Mari via SENDCo@willowbrook-gst.org
