Our incredible Willow Brook debate team has achieved an amazing victory, earning a place in the Debate Mate Gold Cup National Finals! They triumphed at the regional heats, held at the prestigious Imperial College London.
The team tackled some very complex and thought provoking debate motions. First, they argued against the motion, “This house believes that humans should focus on building a civilisation on another planet rather than trying to fix the problems on Earth.” Then they showed off their diverse knowledge by debating in favour of the motion, “This house would introduce an e-Sports Olympics.”
Their performances were outstanding, demonstrating excellent research, thoughtful arguments, and brilliant speaking skills. We are so proud of the team and their hard work! This is a fantastic achievement for Willow Brook.
We are all excited to cheer them on as they represent our school at the National Finals this summer. Well done, Willow Brook debaters!
