Reception’s Autumn Walk

By 10 October 2022October 17th, 2022No Comments

Last week Reception took their first mini trip down to Jubilee Park. Our ‘Autumn walk’ took part on a beautifully sunny, yet cold day and we were so pleased to be joined by so many of our Willow Brook families. The children were encouraged to consider their five senses and collect anything they wanted to bring back to school. It was wonderful to see the children trying to count the fallen autumn leaves, listen out for the birds calling and collect as many conkers as they could possibly carry.

Back at school we used all our treasures in a range of activities, from leaf printing to counting conkers, we even had a go at writing as many of the key words we could remember to describe what we heard, saw, smelt and felt. Why not take part in your own ‘Autumn walk’ over the half term?
