Willow Brook Primary celebrated the NSPCC’s national Number Day this month with a high-energy takeover of the school day focused on making maths come alive. Instead of their usual lessons, students engaged in a variety of hands-on numerical challenges designed to build confidence and highlight the fun side of problem-solving. The playground was transformed into an interactive learning zone with outdoor number trails, while inside the classrooms, pupils collaborated on intricate multiplication mosaics and ran pop-up shops to practice real-world budgeting and mental arithmetic. It was a fantastic day of teamwork and “maths eyes” that showed everyone just how much numbers matter in our everyday lives.
