Founders Day 2026: Willow Brook Becomes Nature’s Guardian
This week, Willow Brook transformed into a hub of environmental action for Founders Day 2026. Embracing the Griffin Schools Trust theme of Civic Responsibility, our students focused on becoming “Stewards of the Earth”.
From the ‘Feathered Friends Café’ in Reception to our Year 6 engineers designing new bird habitats, every child played a part. Our local park was cleaned, birds were counted for the RSPBs ‘Great Bird Count’, and our school grounds were improved.
A huge thank you to the families who joined us in the afternoon to plant bulbs for our ‘Secret Garden’ and help paint our colourful new playground mural. It was a fantastic day of learning that showed our children that nature is our most important neighbour.
