Last week, Year 4 pupils researched Marina Ester Castaldo, learning about her background and the influences behind her artwork. Marina is an Italian artist now based in London. She was born and raised in Naples, and her work reflects the area’s warm climate, welcoming people, natural surroundings, and bold, contrasting colours.
This week, the pupils analysed her drawings before creating their own sketches inspired by her style. They then used coloured pencils and crayons to add soft and vibrant colours, bringing their artwork to life.
